Hi there.
I looking to design 2.5 way or 3 way loudspeakers. I want to use with Morel SCM634 carbon midrange (this driver can down to 40Hz?). For the Bass. I think to use with Morel CAW938 or UW1058 in closed box. Somebody please tell the differences between them and the sound quality. B.N: EgglestonWorks Nine use with Morel CAW938 woofer. Thanks |

2. Morel SCM634 Supreme 6" Midrange. This driver is 4 ohm. Fs on the 50's (is not a best choice for bass, regarding of giving a good midrange). Looks pretty good from specs. https://www.madisound.com/store/prod...oducts_id=8485 3. You can look at an MTM/3-Way I did some time ago for a forum member, and transform it to a MMT. (If you like the idea). 4. Morel CAW938 9" Woofer. Fs=31Hz 8 ohm. Looks good, as a bass. https://www.madisound.com/store/prod...oducts_id=8440 5. Morel UW1058 10" Ultimate Subwoofer. Fs=26Hz, 8 ohm. Looks very impressive. http://www.morelhifi.com/products/raw_subwoofers.html 6. The 6" Midrange connects well at 100/200/250/300Hz with the 9"/10". Your best bet should be a WWMT (with the 9"). Curious to see.

Thanks Inductor,
I broke off a simulation of the units on WIN ISD. The Woofer SCW636 and SCM634. I got a better result with SCM634 midrange over SCW636 woofer. It seems also a good result even in 2 way system (Am I wrong?). The 634 Midrange see 37Hz at -6dB (without room gain) vs 41 Hz at -6dB with the woofer 636 . https://www.madisound.com/store/prod...oducts_id=8474 Thank you very much. |

Hi Inductor,
Sorry for my English. I mean that Morel carbon midrange 634 produce better bass than the carbon woofer 636. My dilemma is if to use with 2 x 6 inch in 2.5 way. Or 1 x 6" midrange + 9 or 10 inch woofer. Thank you |

Imagine running your amp lower than 2 ohm. I didn't measure/simulate. Attention with 4 ohm drivers in parallel or xovers. The SCW 636 has Fs=40Hz more suitable for a 2.5. The Morel UW1058 is a specialty in it's own right.
