'bout placing a bass element in font of your face.....
hey! just tried that thing....
placed an old sub in front of my face, vertically, so that cone faces to the left and the magnet to the right. and the bass is so clear!!!  what's the deal with it! does the dipole sounds also like this?

acoustical short circuit,
6db/octave.. low Q no boxyness.. Sounds like a dipole,thats what they are arent they?just with a longer cancellation(short circuit) wavelength?
