Default Zaph Speaker build choices

Hey everyone,

This summer I'm going to build a pair of speakers, mainly for listening to music. I've never built a pair of speakers before, but I've been doing a little bit of research, and I'm fairly good at woodworking.

I'm trying to decide between building either the ZA5.2 system or the SR-71's. What I want to know is how these would sound in comparison to a commercial pair of speakers. Is there certain set of speakers that sounds somewhat similar that I could (semi)easily find and listen to? Also, my roommate has a pair of Advent Heritage speakers (I think they're from the 70's). How would either of my options sound in comparison to that?

Sorry, that was longer than I originally planned.

Thanks,

-FickleBJT
