Default Please suggest 2-way floorstanding

I am looking around for a good 2-way design that would give me a little more extension and output in the lower end of the spectrum than a typical bookshelf or MTM (hence the mention of floorstanding). That does not mean I am completely ruling out large bookshelf or mtm. If there is a design that you know of please do suggest. I'd like to cap the budget ~USD600 completed with parts and cabinet.
Thanks!

You are going at it backwards. "2 way enclosure design for 12 inches woofer" is a solution to a problem. What you need to do is state the problem first.

You need to first say what frequency response and sensitively you want. This would be determined by the size and kind of amp you have and the size of the room and how loud you want the sound to be.

Next you might constrain any solution by placing a limit on the cabinet size and making a budget.

Next you look at possable designs and may find you can't have all of the above to you relax some requirements or contraints.

It may turn out the best design uses a 12" woofer and is a two way system or not no one here would know because we don't know your goals. No need to think about the nuber and size of drivers until you are clear on how and where the speaker will be used

to expand on what ChrisA mentioned above, it's always fun to offer helpful advice, but without understanding your needs/ specific application constraints, a lot of time could be wasted "solving" problems that may not exist

start with :

room size/ listening position(s)

type of listening ( program materials/ desired SPL levels, casual background /home theatre etc)

available or anticipated amplifier power

"domestic acceptance factor" -

don't restrict yourself solely to concept of large bass driver/2 or more way systems - some excellent performance is available in compact footprint but possibly taller floorstanding enclosures using multiples of smaller or even full-range drivers (but not quite qualifying as true line arrays)
