Hello.
I am currently constructing what i hope will be, my final sound system. My wife is pregnant now, and in some months we will have a new person crawling about, I will probably not have the time and/or resources to pull this off then. To sum it up: 4 Audiosector LM4780 power amps (total 4x120W) Dual mono battery bank (Lead batteries, charged by 8A total on 2 outputs switch mode 48V supply) Dantimax passive pre amp kit with remote for total control from the couch. Transcendent sound Grounded Grid pre amp for the sweetness of it all. Marchand electronic 24db/octave 80hz passive filters between pre and power stages. Cabinets from modushop. Pesante Dissipante 3U 10mm panel, the home of my "integrated amplifier". Pesante 3U 10mm panel, for all the power supplies. I am working on a limited budget, and I work slowly. But most parts are in house (Waiting for Dantimax kit), and progress is reasonably good. Currently i have some Hawthorne Audio 15" coaxes in use, and some rear-loaded 12" pioneer woofer thingys for bass. The goal is some sort of real fullrange speaker, maybe 8-12", in OB with possibly 18" woofers in tapped horns of my own design. If anyone have any good ideas for high-sensitivity fullranges good for OB i am all ears. Have almost completely decided on the woofers for the TH, but i am open for suggestions here as well. Size is an issue. I will see if i can take some pictures later today if anyone want's to have a look. :-) Edit: Was not sure where i should post this, but since my issue is deciding on the speaker part, this is where it landed, all else is locked decision-wise.
