What would you guys say is the max c-c distance between a 500hz horn, and a woofer with a 8,2 feet listening distance?
I'm thinking of a separate horn and bass section for my next project, mostly for aesthetics, but I'm unsure if it may be a bad idea with such a short listening distance... Any thoughts?

The usual recommendation is no more than half a wavelength, so in your case that would be:
wavelength = speed of sound / frequency (343/500) = 0.686 0.686/2 = 0.343 metres
