Default Removing bucking magnet....any suspected performance improvement?

Hello,
I have several pairs of the Klipsch 8" woofers sold at Apex Jr. I obtained them from a friend for a song. I have yet to really plan a project with these and was wondering what might happen if the small bucking magnet was removed from the motor unit. What changes in the T/S parameters should I suspect? A lower Qts? Increased SPL? Is there a known benefit to doing this? I was planning on getting the Woofer Tester from PE for some future projects and I would of course measure them after the modification. I am just wondering though if it is worth the effort. I realize it depends on what I want the end result to be....I really don't know at this point because I haven't really thought much about what I might do with them. I really want to know for future flexibility.

Thanks for the input!
Jeff

In the few comparisons I've seen (can't remember where exactly), the bucking mag usually adds a bit of flux across the gap, so removing it might raise Qes.

It'll usually:

Lower Vas
Raise Qes (and accordingly Qts)
Lower nominal efficiency
Possibly slightly alter the spectral tilt, depending on driver.
