Is there any dome tweeters around that can work from 500 hz and up in a big enough horn? I've looked at these:
Scan-Speak Discovery D2604/833000, 1" Dome Tweeter from Madisound Scan-Speak Illuminator D3004/602010 Tweeter, deep chamber from Madisound SB Acoustics SB29RDCN-C000-4 Neo Magnet, Ring Dome from Madisound Any thoughts? |

I would love to have the softness of a dome, with the dynamics of horns. |

Here's a thought.
Get a small (2") wide range driver. Surely, something like that would be more suitable to go as low as you require...

Linear excursion should be low at 500 hz due to the horn. But I'm no expert, so it would be great to hear some thoughts/experiences. Last edited by Defo; 11th May 2010 at 04:32 PM. |
