OK...bear with me folks. I have a DIY MTM tower pair that has finally blown the surrounds. I am now building a low power tube amp (2.2 W) so I need to jump up the sensitivity multiple factors. The existing enclosure is appx 9" wide by 13" deep and 48" high. The current BAD drivers are set-up as an MTM 6 1/2".
As I cannot seem to find a high sensitivity 6.5" pair I am considering flipping the enclosure around & mounting a larger more sensitive driver on the "long" wall. I found the Eminence Kappalite 3012HO Neo with the following specs. 100.5 Db, Vas 2.86cu ft, Qts .32, Qms 8.39, Qes .33, Fs 51.5 Htz, 51-3500 Htz. The numbers say I can work with this volume of enclosure (2.28 cu ft. ). Has anyone had any experience with this driver? Am I really off base with this driver? __________________________________________________ _______Rick.... |

3012HO measurements and used the the No Quarters (same guy who did the measurements) and possibly in some of the Econowave variants, but you'll need to search for them yourself.
