Pi Speaker Reviews/or Similar Speaker

Anyone got them? know of any online reviews?

I am just trying to get peoples input from a wide range, i have gone over their site pretty good and i am just getting all the imput i can.

Also if you know of a similar speaker kit that will be able to crank the SPL.

Also if you have a pair, how do you enjoy music with a low 16Khz tweeter? do you miss those high high notes?

Thanks for any input you can provide

I spent a little time listening to a Pi-2. It was a nice little speaker with lots of kick. Considering the builder spent a total of $125 on the pair, I'd say they are a great bargin. The bass was clean, and the piezo blended well with the bass driver.

Only the truely golden eared among us (or the young) would miss anything missing above 16 kHz.

so its not that big in music, so i won't be missing any great guitar solos?

If you could shut off everything below 16 kHz and just hear your music from 16 kHz on up, all you would hear is a very light hissiness. If your hearing is real good, this adds a sense of "air" to the music. If you are over 30, or have listened to a lot of loud noise, chances are you can't even hear above 16 kHz.
