Default Odd Way to Get more Bass From Shelf Stereo System

abit of an Odd Way to get more Bass from a Shelf Stereo System

The Top Woofers are Connected to the Original amp built into the Shelf's Main Unit...and the Bottom Woofers have been Disconnected in both Speakers and Connected to a Subwoofer Plate Amp,and Speaker Level Imput Wired to the Woofer output of the Amp.

has anybody ever done that before?

im Not sure if The Woofer with Bass going to it Negatively Affects the other one...as it Doesnt Move Nearly as much...so essentially the Top woofer is also abit of a Passive Radiator as well as Radiating Midrange.

The Top and Bottom Woofers are Shifted 180 Degrees out of Phase which Eliminates much of the Midbass Boom.

Does this Setup Seem Rediclous?

It look ridiculous, not if it works for you.
Second (third), it's affecting X-over frequencies because you changed impedance of the 2 woofers that were connected in series/parallel as they were before and no more. I'm saying this not knowing anything about it...

it Does Work Fairly Well.....usable LF Extension down to 35

as you can imagine the Limits of the Small 5 and some odd Inches woofer isnt Hard to Reach....loud enough for me.
