Hello,
Newbie and first time poster here. Just picked up a pair of ESS AMT-1a's with one of the 12" woofers having a small tear in the foam surround. Know I can simply put on a new foam ring but was wondering what the forum felt would be a good replacement to help increase bass response. Are there improvements I can make to the crossovers to help drive some extra bass as well? They sound great and while the bass is not that shy, its still lacking. Thanks for the help! |

Since you have no answers yet I feel free to say that it all depends where you're going. I would change the original parameters of the driver with a new butyl rubber surround, measure new driver and go from there with a new enclosure and x-over. But if that's a lot of work I would (re-)think twice. Also it all depends of availability of parts
