Default Newbie needing help to trouble shoot.

Hey guys,
I am a newbie here, and I have very limited skills. So, I'm hoping for some help as to what should I direct my attention towards IE: the speakers..? and or x-overs...? and also how to perform any testing and what eqpt. I may need. The speakers are Boston Accustic HS 460's. The midranges, and tweeters, in both speakers went out at the same time. Any help, ideas, or input would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance,
Ross T

test the drivers (out of circuit) continuity with an ohm meter;
If you don't have an ohm meter, briefly connect a 1.5v battery across the terminals and see if you get a click...

Hi Ross,

As Peter says. That will give you your starting point. From there you can work on the XO components if the drivers prove OK.

Hmmmm....both speakers went out at the same time.......could it be the Amp? It's a long shot but I'd eliminate that possibility by either connecting the Bostons to an alternative amp, or connect alternate speakers to your current amp and have a listen. Are you hearing full range?
