Default Ascendo speakers

Hi
I would like to start an interesting project, to clone an Ascendo M-F2 or Z-F speakers. Seems to be easy if you have the necessary information. Anyone can help me with a service manual or with other information about the drivers or crossovers diagram, also a schematic of the speakers cabinet will be nice.
Thanks

Nice find. Googling for Ascendo M-F2 speakers you'll find the user's manual ,in which are described the characteristics . The tweeter is visibly the 7" Hi-vi ribbon with the little waveguide ,the mid-wf wouldn't be too much difficult to find 'cos it's got the copper phase plug , the big woofer inside is well hidden ,probably it has some resistors wired in series with the coil (double?) because it's specified that you can select the correct impedance matching with the amp.

Hi
Thanks for the tips. I have a general idea about the speakers but precise information will be greater especially for the bass cabinet also the inside position of the bass driver is important.
Hope to find those information’s before to start a project like this.

Hi,

the manual states "Inner Chassis: 28 cm, Hexacone diaphragm".
Therefore it has to be this one (ETON 11-581/50HEX)
n/a
or a special unit made by ETON for ASCENDO.

I would like to see that project

Best regards
Josch

ascendo modified the hivi rt2h ($76.60 from partsexpress).
"The tweeter is completely disassembled and modified prior to installation. The upper crossover point is specified at 3kHz."
System z used 2.2khz crossover point with that tweeter.

the seas excel 8" driver (hard paper) perhaps can use the nextel W22NY-001 (E0045), you'll have to correct that rising response.
SEAS Excel W22NY-001 (E0045) 8" Nextel Cone Woofer from Madisound

schematic of the cabinet ?
I'd bet that it is a bandpass in there, no way it is aligned, most are between 20-40ms group delay.

And also good luck building the crossover.
They must get a 24db acoustic slope from adding an 18db electrical to the driver's rolloff.
24db is only time aligned at the crossover point, but much better than a 12db or 18db though.

Overall I'd say this would be a very advanced build.

Norman
