Default Pictures from a local DIY speaker event.

Hello,

Just uploaded some pictures from the local speaker gtg.
I don't have a digital camera so it took some time to get them
scanned from the 35mm film

Some impressive stuff there, Jean. Interesting design ideas.

Any chance you can wheadle these guys onto diyAudio so they can answer some questions about technical aspects?

Thanks for posting Jean. There's some interesting stuff out there.
I'd love to hear it all.

Maybe we should have a big diyAudio.com get together. The first in Europe, the second in the USA. Demos, panel discussions, guest speakers, market-place. What do you think?

Tell me where you want it, when you want it, and I might get my Production Management skills into use

I probably won't go to any events in near future, not until I get better at this. My luck was just bad, blew one 8565 just the night before the event. Speakers didn't sound too good

Just updated the page for easier viewing

Default Don't get discouraged or intimidated

Jean,

I remember your setup and was impressed at what you had achieved just tuning by ear. I wouldn't get discouraged or intimidated and stay away from future gatherings as a result. Sure, there were many electrical engineers and others with years of experience in designing speakers, but as I'm sure you experienced, just about everyone I met at the Sacramento get together would be eager to give advice. There is a learning curve, and many of the Sacramento locals have a lot to offer.

Default Recent Sacramento DIY Audio

Anyone interested in following up on technical details etc. pertaining to the designs shown at the recent Sacramento DIY event might want to post on the parts express BBS at

http://www.pesupport.com/cgi-bin/config.pl

Several of the participants in the Sacramento event frequent that board. Also check the write up of the event at
