Default speaker advice

Guys,
I got a Meng X1 amp. Supposed to have 24 Watts. I've bene playing it on my CDM 7NTs, but those are not very sensitive and need about 50-120 Watts to drive normally.
It works at the moment, but I do have to crank up the amp quite a bit!
I was thinking of getting something else, something more sensitive for the tube amp. Say, in the 95+ dB region.
Can anyone advice me of some good options that don't break the bank? I was considering in price region between 200-300 GBP if possible. Second hand is acceptable too, and I would also consider DIY, though I don't really have much time in the coming months, and depending on the coming month, maybe not for another year and a half!
Anyway, I'd still consider DIY though...
Oh, and preferably not too big!! MY CDM 7NTS are quite big, so something smaller than that, maybe bookshelf size? but if that's not obtainable, then a bit bigger than that would have to do...

High efficiency and small size do not really go together, at least not if you also want any meaningful bass extension.

If you want good bass extension, small and high efficiency together will be working against you. Can't fight Hoffman's Iron Law.

I know you posted this under Multi-Way, but what about single full-range drivers? A Fonken cabinet with a Fostex driver would be small & high-efficiency.

Edit - too late

Ok, so as I said, I'm not too hung up on size of the speakers. Which ones can be recommended?

PS, I'll place a similar post on the full range forum...
