I have a pair of Klipsch Heresys where one recently vibrated itself off of it's stand and hit the floor. Minor cabinet damage, but the woofer no longer functions. Took the back off tonight and checked connections which were good. I discovered that when I wiggle the wire that is soldered to the woofer and goes through to the dust cap ( the 3" cone in the middle of the woofer.....I suppose this is what it's called), the signal was finally there and I could get a scratchy sound. The solder connections were good so it must be inside the dust cap. I live in small town USA and there are no repair shops within 100 miles. Any suggestions from anyone?
