Have a look at AX3652, AX3688 and AX3694.

I have looked at those products before,... but I wasn't sure of the suitability... is there something better, or will that barium stuff do... I can't imaging putting those sound absorbing blocks inside my cabinets... wouldn't that be odd? Or do people do it?

Clark Rubber Pools,Swimming Pool Packages,Foam & Rubber Products,Clark Rubber sell acoustic foam....well at least they did a few years ago. The plain flat stuff was available in various thicknesses and was reasonably priced, but the bumpy 'egg carton' stuff was pretty expensive. I used the flat stuff on most inside surfaces of my reflex boxes and was happy with the result. ( I think I went to town with the bracing!)

You posted as I was typing. I see from your reply that you are looking for something more effective the simple foam. Then Clark Rubber probably won't have what you are looking for.
I'm presuming you have bass reflex boxes? |

Some people were telling me felt, but it seems hard to find around here... the pure wool felt. So I was considering foam, but I didn't know what kind, and Jaycar had all this Barium / Bitumen / Acoustic Blocks stuff... I dunno what to do. I might end up just seing what they sound like with pure wood inside.

Is it a sealed or vented design? Small, medium or large sepaker?
For felt I use an ironing board underlay that can be purchased as supermarkets etc. You can also find felt at removalist places or use carpet underlay.

Felt on the side and back panels would help and fill the enclosure with damping such as the AX-3694.
Just make sure the damping does not go right to the back of the driver's cone and only to the motor. With AX-3694 that's easy to achieve as it's in sheet form and will naturally move away as the driver is installed to leave an air gap behind the driver's cone. With Dacron etc it's a bit harder as it's loose and can settle around the driver's cone. For the mids (13 litre sealed) in my mains, I use felt on the sides, AX3652 on the back, AX-3694 for most of the fill and Visaton wool damping directly behind the driver.
