Hi guys,
I recently changed the foam suspensions to some 1970s 3way speakers. Everything went fine, including centering the cone. Except only now I could hear one of the 2 8"woofers playing less loudly than the other. I took it off again and noticed the copper braid wire to the voice coil being kind of loose. Pushed it a bit with a finger and sound stopped. Pushed some more and restarted (always lower than other woofer). It's definetly loose under the paper dust dome cover. Any suggestion? Do I really have to cut the dust dome open and see what's happening underneath? (AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHH!!!). Thanks guys. |
