Hi,
I've been wondering how connecting only one VC of a DVC chassis affects distortion levels in the midrange. With the second VC shorted, distortion could be much less due to the additional copper in the gap (kind of a demodulating ring). Has anyone ever measured something like this? I'm asking because I'm thinking about using the Dayton SD215-88 as a midbass to 1k, but the distortion is quite high in the lower midrange. Less distortion, and this speaker would be perfekt for my needs... Bye, Spatz |

Thanks, very interesting, but there is nothing about the reduction of distortion in this paper...
