Hi,
does anyone has experience with this new tweeter from the Discovery line?
It looks like a rear chamber version of the DX25, with a lower resonance frequency. Any info will be appreciated.
Thanks, Ralf

It is not only a back chambered DX25.
The D and R26 Discovery series, have been updated on several parameters. The D2604/833000 have an extra magnet and a back chamber, with new damping material. the dome textil is also new, and sounds better than the DX25. Also now there is a copper cap in the magnetic system, it improves distortion and high frequency extention.

Hylle,
here the D2604/8330 is priced slightly higher than a Sean 27TDFC (+20%). Do you think it is worth the price difference in terms of sound quality and distortion?
I found on SS site only a preliminary document with specs, will they be different from the ones of the final product? Do you know what is the scale of the impedance on the graph? I would like to design a xo before having the driver in hand 😉
Thanks, Ralf
