Default help/Advice for a 3 way design.

Hello,

I have a set of Dynaudio X-250 speakers. As well as a pair of Boston Acoustics Pro Series 12.5LF's. These are all car audio speakers, and I would like to know if I could Build a decent pair of 3 ways. the mids are 5 3/4 and the tweeter is a 1.1" soft dome. I know that Dynaudio outsources a decent amount of speakers to other manufactures, and the ones i have are advertised and used as car audio speakers, but how are they really any different than a speaker used in a home application?

I would like to do something like the Wilson Sophia's.

As far as power goes, I have a Krell Kav 250a. This amp is rated at 250W at 8ohm, and 500W at 4ohm. I don't know if the sub's are the 2ohm or the 4 ohm version, the subs are currently at a buddies house. Either way, I would think to wire the sub and the mid/high which are 4ohm in serise to get either an 8ohm or 6ohm load to the amp. i would like to use the cross overs from Dynaudio, and build my own for the subs.

Also, this is my first project, but I feel confident that I can learn how to build the cabinet's, and the electrical end I'm not to worried about, just have to do the calculations for the sub cross over.

thanks for the help, Alex
