Hi all,
I have got a pair of this speaker from a friend. I have the woofers repaired. However, both crossover in the boxes were missing. I am wondering if anyone have a schematic of this crossover so that I can build one myself. May be you would have suggestion for a better crossover. Thank you, Johnny |

You can find a suitable xover, like the original, if you ask around in shops (call Falcon Acoustics-UK) that do repairs or call B&W for parts. In the meantime, if you like experiments, I would point to something like this, that I would test with no major damage to the drivers besides your listening discomfort.
For a 3K5(?), 1.order(?) xover with 86dB, 5/6 Ohm drivers. For that, I would test a cap/series (C1: 9, 8 or 7uF) on the tweeter and an inductor/series (L1: 0,3, 0,27mH or 0,22) on the woofer. You can test first the 8uf cap for start with no inductor, and then go along, see if you need the inductor on the woofer like the 0,27mH, adjust. If the woofer has a major roll-off it doesn't need inductor. This is for another B&W monitor model from Stereophile Stereophile: B&W Compact Domestic Monitor 1 loudspeaker |

The DM17 Limited
The DM17 uses an APOC with LED for protection (maybe 9V battery). It's sensitivity is about 1W/m 85dB, 6.5Ohm (low) and it's a sealed enclosure with the previous graph (post#2) showing a different BR. Drivers are: Woofer - BM150/17 (150mm/Bextrene cone), Tweeter - TS26 (26mm/Polyester weave dome) The Crossover Network (pic) Quote:
