I just finished the book Loudspeakers for Music Recording and Reproduction by Phillip Newell and Keith Holland. I figured this would be a good start to learn a little about speakers.
After reading the book the AX2 Horn by Reflexion Arts looks pretty interesting. On page 108 the authors claim that good horns can approach the performance of Electrostats. They show the AX2 with a TAD 2001 driver with a very nice flat response curve. Has anyone ever made speakers using the AX2 and TAD 2001 driver? The company Reflexion Arts looks to be based out of Spain, and they make big studio monitors and mastering speakers using the AX2. Here is a link to one of their products, the 234, which uses the AX2. Reflexion Arts 234 — Reflexion Arts - Professional Audio and Acoustics Thanks! FR |

Hi,
I just purchased a couple of AX2 horns from Spain, but by the time I got them, the cost with shipping (Canada) etc, came to approx. $500.00 US each! So unless you have a really good paying job or are a serious case audio nut (like me), ya better start saving! If you want more info let me know, I don't come on this forum often. My email is wonderboy_ks@hotmail.com. (underscore after wonderboy_) Cheers! Kevin |
