Default Help with setting delays, 6BP subs, Kick Horns, Reflex Tops

Hi there

I need some advice on how to set up delays properly for my system.

My system is 4-way and looks like this:

Subs: Rog Mogale's C-Sub design loaded with PD1850s. Speakerplans.com

Kicks: Fane Folded Horn 215s loaded with Omega Pros. [url=http://www.dancetech.com/index.cfm?loading=pa&pa_loader=176[URL/]
http://i384.photobucket.com/albums/o...6.jpg]Untitled

Tops: EAW JF200 12" + 2"
http://www.eaw.com/info/EAW/Loudspea.../JF_Series.pdf

Sound nice together but as delays haven't been set yet, some tunes have slow sloppy sounding bass due to the mis-alignment of sub and kick frequencies. Emphasized by the fact that the mid/top frequencies arrive first.

Firstly, how do I calculate the horn length (and therefore delay time needed) of those Fane 215s?
Secondly, how do I calculate the delay time needed for the bandpass subs?
And Finally, assuming the 12" mid section of the JF200s is not delayed, how much would be needed for the 2" compression driver/horn.

Any help you could give me would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Dougie

Woops, realised I made a bit of a mistake above..

12" would be delayed the most!

Default Alignment

Hey Buddy,
You don't say what type of crossover, filter slopes, freq's etc your using for this system.
Just taking the physical lengths of each drive unit isn't going to cut-it.
You need to also take into account the delay dispersion inherent in the filters.
To correctly align these components you need to get the alignment to agree through the overlap region of the crossover points.
Look at getting a (Dual FFT) measurement system, HolmImpulse or ARTA that can display magnitude and phase.

hope this helps.
