That's a staggering amount of alnico... what was this thing used for.

it's actually a weapon.

Ah, i have seen this before

It is a rather large chamber with drivers on all sides facing into the middle. It's used for (or was used) for destructive testing via sound pressure of up to 160+ Db (if i remember correctly). Again, if i remember right the frequency response was 100Hz to 14Khz above 160Db

E2A:- this is obviously before anyone thought of ICE

The scary thing is that nine Danley SH-40s in an array are likely louder than this, because amps are bigger now, and an array like the one in the picture will suffer from serious cancellations, while an SH-40 will not
