on one of my studio 80s and also on one of my old 5semk2....they have both let go at about the same time....any ideas on where to get replacements that wont break the bank?? plus...any way to upgrade the 5s to the better aluminum tweets the studios have ?? thanks in advance....

Hello nodoubt45, pull the tweeters and post pics, someone will probably be able to tell you who the OEM was for the tweeter, possibly even the model. From that you should be able to get spec. sheets and figure out a suitable replacement.
Now upgrading the tweeters becomes a different story. At this point you can be altering the behaviour of the tweeter relative to the crossover, thus you may have to modify the crossover the get proper blending between the drivers. With this you have gotten to the point that you need various measurement tools, i.e. microphones, spectrum analyzer, or good software, and the knowledge to understand what the measurements tell you.
