I have a pair of LFT 8s which I'm very happy with the sound. However, I'm thinking of trying multiple amping to with an electronic crossover. Has anyone tried the LFT 8s with tri-amping without the orginal passive crossovers of the LFT 8?
BTW, does anyone know the source for good quality non-polar 470 mfd electrolytics 50V or polyesters/polyprops for crossovers? Merry Chirstmas everybody! ckt |

Well, I'd stay away from electrolytics for crossovers. Most people will reccoment polyprops for crossovers. Just thought I'd let you know.

Joebob,
Thanks for your reply. Actually, I have a problem looking for a good quality capacitor to replace the original 470mfd cheapo non-polar electrolytic. The polyesters and polyprops or other non electrolytics do not seem to come in such a high value. Any suggestions? ckt |

Just run some lower valued caps in parallel.
