I have a pair of 25 year old JBL L-150A's that I am looking to rebuild. I haven't kept up on recent speaker technology, and would like some suggestions for a complete rebuild. The cases are in good shape, but the speakers themselves are trashed (subjected to years of drastic temp. changes in storage).
My intent eventually is to use a Foobar database on my computer with my USB DDDAC, A 12BH7a linestage preamp that I just completed, and an amp to be constructed later (not sure yet whether tube or SS). Thoughts? |

these have been stored for a while...not sure of their status. I suspect the HR are less then stellar due to abuse when younger, but visually both they and the MR look 100%. The LR and the passive need the foam surrounds replaced.
