Default new drivers for old actives

after a month here & on other sites,i have given up trying to obtain 'original' replacement woofers for my meridian m-30's.these were custom 4 ohm b200 kef drivers, over 20 years old.after much harassing of a number of people, i have acquired 2 audax hm130 co's.they are 6 ohm, though. i was told there would be a difference in output of 1.5db.i was also told that because the meridians use an active crossover that this can be compensated for.i am a luddite.is this correct? should i cancel the order?

You could compensate for the response of the new drivers in the active crossover, but then you'd need the schematic. And the ability to do acoustic measurement and loudspeaker system simulation.

BTW, are these analogue or DSP-based crossovers? If it is DSP, then it would be close to impossible to modify them without some help from Meridian.

Why not suck it and see?

Also, BTW, have you tried to get some assistance from Meridian?
