Default What constitutes a fresh cap in the world of NOS caps?

what do folks say is "fresh enough for crossover use" out of various types of capacitors sitting for decades? When are dry metallized film and film and foil types considered too old? How about the Russian KGB and MBGO type? - Modern data sheets give shelf life estimates of less time than most of the date codes seen with NOS -certainly NOS capacitors seem to sell and customers seem happy.
