Good, now you have complete series model for the woofer. Do you know how to use WinISD software for the speaker enclosure, for a start. (On tweeter, you mean rec. xover freq. >2KHz).

2-Way Crossover Designer / Calculator
The above is the calculations for your passives. As a start, I will use 3000Hz as the cutoff points for them(considering tweeter should be X2 from its FS to be safe) and see how it goes. |

It is difficult (near impossible) to find speaker components in Bombay.
Here are the cabinet dimensions: http://www.speakerbuilder.net/web_fi...ts/DBP/dbp.htm Now, we just need a series crossover--only two inductors (one per each speaker cabinet) to find or make or ship at great expense. Here is the tweeter: Parts-Express.com:*HiVi TN25 Fabric Dome Tweeter | Tweeter dome tweeter soft dome sheilded tweeter textile dome silk dome Here is the woofer: ![]() Parts-Express.com:*Dayton DC130AS-8 5-1/4" Classic Shielded Woofer | woofer dc130as-8 5-1/4"woofer midbass shielded woofer dayton dayton audio dayton loudspeaker I attempted to convert the super-spendy parallel crossover (made of parts that cannot be sourced at market) on this page: http://www.speakerbuilder.net/web_fi...P/dayschem.jpg to a series type crossover to reduce expense and make it more doable. Attached is my guesswork; but, can someone put in the correct component values? |

(L=>1,5mH, maybe 1,8/2,2mH on woofer), in the end I would adjust right padding on tweeter. |

Pay attention (with max. power because) you will have (Xmax=2.5mm) cone excursions about double spec with only 20W @60/70Hz.

I have used the TN25. I found it to be better than the price would suggest. A touch grainy, but quite satisfactory. I failed at my attempt to solder wires to them. I melted the sides of the enclosure, that is all.
