A Google search on "Bose 301 repair" brought me here after reading how little they are regarded. Though I've never been satisfied with the mid or bass response I thought I was buying a decent speaker in 1984. Now that the woofer surrounds need replacing am I better off putting that $50 into a new set of speakers?
I have a set of Infinity RS7's of the same vintage that also need replacement surrounds. Thinking again that these were decent speakers in 1984 I believe they are worth repairing but how good a pair of speakers are these compared to what is available today? Other than the surrounds both set of speakers are in very good condition. |
