Any ideas on a good articulate 6 1/2 or 7" driver for a 2 way to be paired with Seas 27TDFCs? I'm looking to change out my current ones cause they are just not cutting it. 2 woofers in each cabinet.

Have you checked out Zaph's web site? Zaph|Audio . Also, see Mark K's web site Measurements That ought to give you a nice short list.
What driver are you currently using? Note that much of what makes a successful loudspeaker is due to correct implementation, not only good drivers...

I have used Seas ER18RNX in a MTM configuration. These are best speakers which I have had. I have also used Seas Excel and Scan Speak Revelators.

The Seas ER18RNX is an excellent driver. Still working on mine. Quite hot on the mids. Needs quite a few dB in BSC to tame it.
Check out the Dayton RS180. I'm using this with the 27TDFC in a 2-way DCR. For articulation, use this Dayton RS series. How are your woofers arranged? MTM, MMT or 2.5?

What I have now are zetag woofers arranged TMM. Not terrible by any means but just doesn't have the openness/articulation i'm looking for.

Do you have a schematic of the crossover network and the datasheet of the zetags?

ScanSpeak or Usher. If you have 2, might think about going down a size.
I found the Dayton RS series very difficult to use due to their break up regions. Others love them. I agree with there Michael is going, don't give up on the drivers until you reconsider the crossover. |

These metal cones can be a pain. You'll need to keep the cone breakup well away from your crosspoint. This is where a zobel network helps tremendously.
Looking at the Dayton 8", the RS225s-8, I think the highest I can cross is up to 1K. This is 3 octaves away from 8K, which is where the peaks are. Haven't quite decided whether to buy the RS225 yet. BR box is a bit too big for my liking. Does make a good 40L Bandpass Sub though.

I have tried 2 different x-overs with these 1 is attached done by PE tech. Specs on the drivers are included. The other x-over I used I don't have sheet on.
