The Woofer to the Far Left (Picture 1 From the Left) has Specs on a Paper Label on the Magnet 40-3K,15/30 Watts,8 Ohms

The Woofer Next to it (Picture 2 From the Left) only has a 4 Ohm Rating as far as specs go,this woofer has a Higher mechanical Excursion than the Previous woofer.

I have a shelf full of similar drivers, measuring them, usually they have too high a Q to be useful in a BR box... save them for experiments or if you get enough an OB...???

Hello form109, the driver with the oval shaped cutouts in the frame appears to be something from Radio Shack, this is a S.W.A.G based upon the label on the back of the magnet. It's pretty much the same as labels on the rest of the Radio Shack drivers. I went to Radio Shack's website and did a quick look around, they don't appear to have any info on this driver. Probably best if you can do some reading on testing drivers, then start to measure them. You will get the best result this way when you use them.

Peace,

Dave

Hello form109, by LoEff, Cal is being humorous. He means Low Efficiency.
As far as testing drivers goes, frequency sweeps are a good thing, especially if you can measure the impedance of the driver as you are doing the frequency sweep. It will vary over the audio band. If you do some poking around on this site, and the web in general, you will find information about how to test the impedance relative to frequency. There are other measurements also, but it would be best for you to hunt around for the info, others have probably explained it better than I would.

Dave...the Label says the Speaker has a FR of 40-3 K...would this only be a Useable FR since the Driver responds to Frequincies outside of that Band?

Does Anyone have a Clue about the Other one?

and Funny Cal

but i'd say its a solid 88 DB.

Hello form109, you are correct in your assumption as to the frequency response shown. But one thing I have learned around this forum, from those with much more experience than I, is that an actual driver can vary quite a bit from the published specs. So if you can actually get measurements of the particular driver(s) you will end up with a much more accurate design.

Peace,

Dave

P.S. not sure about the other driver, going to have to take another look at the pics.
