Hello, I’m Stefano from Italy, I’d like to introduce my new diy speakers, I used somethink from the “Ultimo” project (Scan Speak), as the speakers, the crossover scheme, the general buffle’s layout and the internal volume, than I changed the general construction scheme, the cabinet’s thickness (52mm on the buffle, walnut + mdf, 30mm on the other parts, mdf), the position of reflex (now in the bottom).
For the internal walls I used several products (plastic body for cars, a product called (Exacto Silent P), then natural wool and Dacron. The sound is sweet (it would be appreciated a little bit more impact…but it is due to the rest of audio chain too), with a deep and present bass, a good detail and soundstage (deep and large), a realistic voice. Unfortunately, as you can see from the pictures my listening room is at moment small and I can’t use a better position, the cdp is a Rega Jupiter with mainstream cable and the amplifier a MF A3.5, diy power cables made with VDH SCS 16 and 12, the sensitivity is not too high, I think no more than 86/87db. Sorry for my bad English exposition, best regards and merry Christmas! |

Hi Stefano,
Those are great looking speakers. I am a fan of the SS Revelators, too. So I am sure the sound great as well. Where in Italy do you live? I recently was hired by a Milano pump company; although will be I living and working in Northern California. |

Very nice Stephano!! It never ceases to amaze me the level of skill in cabinet construction that others have
Maybe one day I might be able to do something other than a standard butt joint rectangular box No need to apologize for your English it's perfectly understandable Tony. |

Very good craftmanship! Curved panels aren`t that hard to make but have their contributions.

Beautiful! Looks like the inside of an aircraft. Nice work. I'll bet they sound great, too.
