This new tweeter at PE has no faceplate and has a large surround for a tweeter. Appears to be part of their "Tymphany" range. A reasonably flat response from 1000Hz +. Claimed low distorion.
Vifa OX20SC00-04 3/4" Fabric Dome Tweeter Any ideas on how to use something like this?

Check out Zaphs pages
he uses the D26NC with-out the faceplate by making a small waveguide on the baffle face and mounting the tweeter from the rear, there appear to be quite a few new tweeters that this could be done with
