Default Help needed replacing foam surrounds on SEAS CA25FEY

Hi all,
A kind friend has donated his 25yr-old old DIY SEAS 3 way speakers with rotted foam surrounds on the mid and bass drivers. He also donated new foam surrounds for the CA25FEY bass drivers. But how do you force the foam to stay in contact while the glue dries? After a few minutes I abandoned my initial attempt with the PVA supplied as I realised this wasn't going to work and hastily cleaned up the glue. I know people do this themselves, but it looks to me like a special jig is required to hold the cone. Anyone who's done this care to offer any tips?
Thanks,
Ian

Try a more agressive glue and glue the surround to the cone first and let it dry completely before gluing the surround to the frame.

Sometimes a hair dryer helps speed up the glue setting process. Work the glued surface with a popsicle stick to keep it in contact with the cone whilst the glue sets. Be patient.

Thanks - any recommendation for a more aggresive glue? The cone is treated paper, I don't know if that makes glue selection easier or harder than for plastic...

I use a MEK based brown glue. Not being from the UK though, it's difficult to make any recommendations.
