IMO, yes they are. Just make sure you voice the speaker with a cheaper resistor so you don't end up with multiple pairs like me.

Curly I would sure love to see, hear & touch the above project when completed! It's a jewel. Finish?

Ditto your question to Face about the Dueland vs. Mills...Recommended source for the Dueland resistors delivered to Utah? I'd consider them for the tweeter pads.

Again, thanks one & all for thoughful & considerate contributions.
Partsconnexion has them.

The Duelund have a negative temperature coefficient. The idea is to compensate for heating of the tweeter voicecoil. So they are more recommended for dome tweeters.
I may not use them on ribbon tweeters for example.

Three speakers are being built for a Trinaural system. Needed are three .82mH "litzwire" air core coils, Mundorf or Intertechnik brand, as recommended by our wonderful contributor Joachim Gerhard.

Unfortunately I find no mention of the word "litzwire" at the coil pages of Mundorf and/or Intertechnik sites:
Mundorf & Glasshouse inductors & coils page
Lautsprecher Shop Intertechnik - Cross-over electronic parts ::

Would greatly appreciate any light shed on this dillema.

How might you compare the audio performance of these Solen Hepta-litz coils vs. your preferred Mudorf and/or Intertechnik? All appear to be similar litz-wire air-core construction.

Solen vendor is in N. America whereas Mundor and Intertechnik must ship from your side of the pond.

anyone measured resistor induction

I have, for the first time
surpriced to see it was quite a lot
around 0.03mH for a simple 'cement' wirewound
also surpriced to find that some 'cement' were almost twice of that
but seems like it varies between 0.025 to 0.055

and surpricingly, a couple of film resistors were among the worst of them

Here are some impedance tests I did a while back:

Based on what I see in your posted measurements of the 3 resistors, there probably isn't much variation in the all important 1-30K range. I don't see much value in the measurements above 30K.

Jackinnj- I gotta ask, do you get a flat line with a carbon comp? The low frequency change is more than I'd expect, and all the charts are disturbingly similar.

Conrad: Here's the utility I used for the measurement -- the effect of cable impedances and input impedance for the analyzer are nulled out:

I do have an ESI bridge...
