Doesn't seem to be a whole since, if you exclude all the "discussion".

Default Grand Ekta

I tried Google images. Unfortunately, no speakers were found.

No I will post the drawing shortly for the layout. That was a stereo amp with KT 88's I think. I need to look at the drawing again to be sure.

Only 7 replies? You yourself became bored with the project?
A shining example, I think.

Here you go Netlist: I spelled the name wrong I guess. It is grande, not Grand :-)

Bored? I was busy building the amp :-) That was almost three years ago now. All that I was saying that if people do not post on subjects, they must not hold a lot of interest. Do you not agree?

No this is a totally different amp if you would have read my post. I shelved the initial mono design and built the KT88 amp as a stereo amp as it was my first scratch build. It was not as good as my commercial amps, but I learned a lot about wiring the chassis.

This a completely new design with mercury vapor tubes (866A's) and separate filament supplies for each stage too. It is a lot of work and yes I probably should spend more time in the shop, but with the Texas heat, I only work in the Fall/Winter as a rule. My wife would not allow me to work on any of these projects in the house.

My point: It's a shame to see threads come and go with next to no attention, no comments (it wasn't like this early on - lots of old threads had tons of comments over short periods of time) while these "useless" threads flourish. It's not my idea of the DIY spirit.
Too many here think that DIY is to go buy a new cable and attach it yourself or debate the subjective versus objective viewpoints. This is not DIY.

On this point I totally agree. I sincerely appreciate all of the efforts that the knowledgeable share with others in these forums. I have gained a tremendous amount of understanding from reading these forums.
