hello everybody
I know this is rare find, but... someone know where/how to find replacenent diaphragm of the D582 fostex driver. Duralumin. Or (IF will fit, dont'know) the phenolic ones of the D586? Or in other words: Anyone interessed in a pair of Fostex H450 Horn + lenses TIA Saluti |

hi Saluti,
I had a pair of D582/H450's too, sold them because of the exact same reason, no available replacement diaphragms. D586 diaphragms fit without a problem, but these are just as non-existant. I did experiment with a JBL diaphragm in them, the voice coil fitted without a problem but wasn't really deep enough into the magnet assembly, the mounting ring didn't fit at all, I thought about making an adapter ring but didn't bother in the end.... Good look, they are nice paper weights..... Peter |

Hi Peter
sure, as paperweight are second to nothing. You remenber the model of jbl diaphragm? i noticed that the voice coil assembly is glued on the the diaphragm. With a new one, maybe is possible to reconstruct the voice coil on a right support and fix in place, ok just a crazy idea to waste other time. Saluti |
