Default B+W Speaker ID Please

Hi,

A friend gave me these speakers a while back. They'll need a lot of TLC - one of the tweeter enclosures has been totally removed...

I was told they came as part of a larger system that was expensive. The cables protrude from a hole in the base, as shown in the photo.

Has anyone got an idea of what system they came from? A model number? I'd like to get a quote for replacement parts. The question is: will it be worth it?

Thanks in advance.

Justin

edit - after searching, I reckon there's a strong chance these are the head units for the 802 series 80s. Anyone confirm? Looks like they won't be much use... Off to ebay I guess...

Heavily butchered mid and non original tweeter of vintage B&W 801/802 series one or two speakers. My eyes hurt.

I immediately thought "801 pods" and if you look here and scroll down you can see an image. I suppose they could be from one of the later versions too.
