Question Grill Material

I'm building a speaker cabinet for a guitar and need a heavy duty grill. Some peferated sheet metal shoudl do the trick but what material should I use?? aluminium? mild steel? stainless steel??

any tips would be great

Expanded steel is what you need. McMaster-Carr is one good source.

atm the best i have found here in aus is some mild steel. hole radius 5mm pitch 7mm. by the looks of that webiste i'm on the right track.

i just realised how stupid that last post was. yeah laugh at me if you will... i deserve it.

i've gone for a perferated sheet steel style.... thanks for the help guys
