Dumb question?

I know that to measure normal speakers you want them as far away from barriers as possible, but what if you are designing "on wall" speakers? Shouldn't they be measured on wall?

Just curious.

There are two main standards that I know, to measure in a standard box or in a standard baffle, that's all. It doesn't say it's a lot different for your wall. Use The Edge (Tolvan/The Edge) software to simulate for baffle size. Look at different methods to measure loudspeakers, in open fields vs. anechoic chambers. You have a lot of homework to do.
