Hi there,
I've been lurking around the internet for some time now for my next project.Up til now all were conventional speakers. My idea is to use one big mid-high range horn (specificaly JBL 2352 with 2447H driver) and 15" bass speaker for the bottom (up to around 600-700Hz) Does anybody have any experience with this horn? Is it possible to put it on its side so the box-horn combo would be more narrow? How does it sound? (i doubt there is anybody in slovakia with this horn, so i could hear it live ? What do you think it would perform with B&C 15TBX100? or is there any more suitable 15" for this horn? Exceuse so many questions, but i think this would be my final and last design for life, if you understand me. XO and the rest will follow Danny |

Hmmmm.... I don't remember ever hearing the 2352. Not a bad looking horn, but I believe is uses diffraction in the throat, something a lot of folks around here don't like.
As for turning it on its side - it might get a bit beamy in the horizontal. Have a look at JBL's published plots. Remember that the published vertical now becomes your horizontal. |

OK, a little bump.....
Any other suggestion on how to start on this build? What for to look in the drivers? The price range should be around $500 per driver/horn. I want a system with 15" and 1,5" compresion driver on a horn. Any help will be much appriciated. Tha you |

I have run them with 2435HPL and 2452H-SL and find them to be "transcendent."
http://www.jblpro.com/catalog/suppor...=298&doctype=3 Consider upgrading your 2447 diaphragms to "SL" type with Aquaplas damping.... |

Hi ZilchLab
Waht do you mean under "transcendent" ? is it like "in your face?" are they too forward sounding, or too harsch? |
