Post Speakers what to choice?

im in a delema should i get:
witch i already have a 600watt amp...300 to each side....and a 4 channel mixer or should i get this
or should i check out other things? we need it to power vocals and our guitar player. our bass amp works fine and my drums are really loud...we need this for practice and small shows at clubs and stuff? or would you suggest something toally different i am open to all suggests yet i am on a short budget 600$ max...would it be cheaper to build my own speakers? what do i need subs, horn, tweeters, and wires? i have a friend who does car audio and i could make my own box would i end up getting more bang for my buck on building?

PS please im me and talk about PA's my aol/aim handle is "Drewscanizer"
