For large scale events, ie music festivals (Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Melt, etc), loudspeaker arrays are often used.
What are the traditional requirements for such arrays?
-How large of an area are they expected to cover? How large of a distance are they expected to produce appreciable SPL?
-Over what angles are they expected to produce sound (ie directivity)?
-How large of sound pressure levels are they expected to provide?
-Are there other circumstances where use of such an array would be desirable?
if you have any further information relating to requirements for large format concert arrays it would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Thadman

Are you talking about hanging a logarithmic spaced, articulated spiral array in a horizontally asymmetric configuration employing frequency tapering and divergence shading, which will include isophasic high-frequency and mid-frequency apertures, hyper-cardioid low-frequency transducer sections, and that is controlled by finite-impulse response filtering digital signal processing, and one that works well with a psychoacoustic infector?
