hi all, i was hoping to ask for some help with an assignment i'm doing and i'm desperately stuck on the last question! just my luck!
i need to design a two way system with a 5.0ohm low freq driver with an fs of 45Hz and a sens. of 85dBSPL,2.8V,1m. the tweeter is a 6.5 ohm with an fs of 2500Hz and a sens. if 88dBSPL, 2.8V, 1m and Qe of 1 and Qm of 2.5. what "improvements" can i incorporate in my hypothetical passive and active LINKWITZ RILEY 4th ODER design. the old tweeter (first one used for calculations in the assignment) was the same specs with an fs of 1500Hz but no Qe or Qm specified. these are the only parameters supplied. i can only theorise that the high fs on the tweeter will pose a major problem for a suitable crossover point. can anyone tell me what the given Qe and Qm values can be used for when figuring out "improvements"? |
