Default new 3 way

I've started building my first 3 way speaker.
parts-express cabinet
tweeter - Usher 9930-20
mid - CSS FR125, not the latest SR model
woofer - seas H511
why this choice of drivers? I've already had them.
next step - construction of rear chamber for mid.

Wow! Those look good!

Are they symmetrical for left and right?

Nice!

How did you get the rebate so cleanly defined?

Cheers!

well, second baffle is not as clean. I made tweeter cut out 1/16in bigger than needed. I was almost ready to order another baffle, then after painting gap with black marker decided to leave it as it is.

problem with fr125, it is very inefficient. I made very small chamber for it with duct tape
I tried to make shallow crossover with parts I already have. I noticed previously that shallow crossovers have best imaging.
I assembled only one side and it sounds quite nice. more updates will follow.

Also I tried to make series crossover with less components, no success so far.
well, nobody can beat sony in crossover parts count - 2 caps for a 3 way speaker

Looks ok
But remember that if a woofer plays somewhat loud, it can make the midrange appear more attenuated than it really is
I would try a paralel inductor with a resistor on the mid series cap(highpass)
But your woofer seem to play a lot of midrange, so it hard to say
I take it you are aware that the big 16ohm resistor on tweeter makes the series cap quite large

Regarding FR125 low SPL
Would be tempting to give it a much shorter voice coil fore midrange duty
I think it could be a fantastic midrange driver with 1mm Xmax

btw, I prefer to reverse polarity on midrange
