Hey!
I do not have enought experiences in speaker building, I have not finished any MTM center channel speakers. So thats why I have question what kind of woofer should I use. Does anybody have used those ones: http://www.madisound.com/catalog/PDF...18wo09-08e.pdf SEAS Prestige ER18RNX (H1456) 7" Reed Paper Cone Woofer from Madisound Tweeter is going to be ScanSpeak 810921. Can cross low, even to 1600Hz. Any thoughts? |

Hi Rinx, I haven't "yet" built a set of home theater speakers, but from what I have read the best speakers to use for the centre channel are the same ones you use in the front left and right speakers.
Ideally you should use the same drivers for ALL the speakers. Note that the fronts could be threeways and the centre and rears would only be two ways, but the midbass and tweeters should ideally be the same with the same crossover so that the timbre matches. So if you already have fronts then how about considering using the same drivers as in those? Tony. |

Yes! I certanly agree with you! Every driver has theyr own specific sound...like a fingerprint
![]() I can use both Seas and Vifa for centre's..because they pretty much same diameter. I do not have crossover yet. So still dilemma, are those Seas and Vifa good for center channel? And which one to prefer... |
